Inventory and stock management that updates itself as you bill
Every sale reduces stock and every purchase adds to it, so the number on the screen is the number on the shelf, and a bestseller never quietly runs out.
Stock that follows your sales
Counting shelves by hand is slow, and it is always out of date by the time you finish. When billing and stock are one system, the stock level of a product drops the moment it is sold and rises when you record a purchase. You can open a product at any time and trust the figure.
The Product Catalogue holds categories, barcodes, SKUs, purchase and selling price, GST percentage, stock level and a photo for each item. Because purchase price is stored with selling price, the profit reports can show real margin rather than just sales.
Low-stock and out-of-stock alerts
Every product has a minimum stock level (5 units by default, and you can change it). The app flags the product when stock falls to that level, and again when it hits zero. The dashboard shows the low-stock count, and one tap takes you to the list. That list is effectively your shopping list for the next supplier visit, which is much better than discovering an empty shelf when a customer asks for the item.
Every movement is logged
When stock does not match, the log tells you where to look instead of leaving you guessing.
- Stock-in when goods arrive.
- Stock-out for sales and returns.
- Adjustments when a physical count differs from the system, for example for breakage or spoilage.
- A full audit log of movements, so you can see how a number got to where it is.
Bring your existing product list
You do not have to retype hundreds of items. Import your whole catalogue from an Excel (.xlsx) file in one go and export it back out any time for bulk price edits or your own records. The Smarter Pricing tools let you set MRP and wholesale prices, quantity slabs and offers, and change prices in bulk with a one-step undo if you get it wrong.
Purchases and suppliers
The Purchases & Suppliers module records what you buy and return, shows what you owe each supplier and keeps a ledger of payments. Stock updates as goods arrive, so there is one source of truth for stock and for what you owe. Read how this fits GST billing and how barcode labels speed up receiving and billing.
A weekly stock routine that takes ten minutes
- Open the low-stock list and note what to reorder.
- Record purchases as goods arrive so stock stays current.
- Spot-check two or three fast-moving products against the shelf, and post an adjustment if they differ.
- Look at the lowest sellers and decide what to discount or stop reordering.
Reports that show what actually moves
The Reports screen lists your top 10 products and lowest sellers for any period, with a breakdown by category and payment method. Fast movers tell you what to stock deeper. Slow movers tell you where your cash is sitting on a shelf. Export to PDF or Excel or print directly for your records.
Deleting a product only hides it from new bills. Past invoices and reports keep working, because each sale keeps its own copy of the price and details at the time it was made.
Frequently asked questions
Does stock reduce automatically when I bill?
Yes. A completed sale reduces the product's stock, and a recorded purchase increases it.
Can I import my existing products from Excel?
Yes. Import an .xlsx file and export it back out any time.
Does it track batch numbers or expiry dates?
No. RathTech Billing POS tracks quantity, movements and prices, not batch or expiry. Shops that must track expiry batch by batch should check this fits before choosing.
Will I lose old bills if I delete a product?
No. Deleting hides the product from new bills only. Past invoices and reports are unchanged.
