Stationery shop billing software for school-season rushes and everyday sales
A stationery shop has thousands of low-priced items, a few frantic weeks every school term and many tiny bills. RathTech Billing POS helps with fast scanning, accurate stock and quick quotes for bulk school orders.
Thousands of small items, low prices
Pens, pencils, notebooks, files, charts, art supplies and gift items: a stationery shop's catalogue is long and every item is cheap. Typing names is slow and mistakes are common, especially between near-identical items such as different sizes of the same notebook. Barcodes solve most of that. Scan the packaged item and the right product, price and GST are in the cart.
For items without a barcode, such as loose sheets, chart paper or your own repacked sets, print barcode or QR labels on a label roll or an A4 sheet and stick them on. See barcode billing.
Load the catalogue once, from Excel
Start from your distributor's price list or your own spreadsheet. Import the .xlsx into the app with category, price, GST percentage and stock, and you are billing the same day. Export the catalogue any time to review prices in a spreadsheet, then import the changes. If a price change goes wrong, the bulk price tools offer a one-step undo.
School and office season
- Send a quotation for a school kit or an office order and convert it into a bill in one click once approved.
- Record a delivery with a challan if you supply goods before invoicing; stock leaves once, when you invoice.
- Use quantity slabs and wholesale prices for bulk buyers, and MRP for walk-in customers.
- Print the A4 GST invoice for institutions that need a tax invoice. See GST billing.
Quick bills at the counter
Between rushes, most bills are two or three items paid by cash or UPI. The two-panel billing screen puts the catalogue on the left and the cart on the right. Scan or search with F3, complete and print with F4, and save a cart as a draft with Ctrl+S when someone steps away to find a family member. A short thermal receipt prints in a moment. Setup advice is in receipt printing.
Stock you can trust before the season
Stock drops as you bill and rises as you record purchases. Each product has a minimum stock level, and the low-stock list becomes your order sheet before the school reopens. The top and lowest-sellers report shows which brands and ranges move, so you can order the right depth. See inventory management.
Regular and institutional customers
Local schools, tuition centres and offices often buy on account. Record these sales on credit against the customer and settle as they pay, in full or in part, with purchase history one click away. See udhaar and credit tracking.

Fit check
RathTech Billing POS is a Windows desktop app with an English interface. It does not run on a phone and has no online-shop or delivery-app integration. If a PC at your counter suits you, the free 14-day trial lets you test with your own products.
